1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ucfflowengine.com, or by making a payment through our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 18 years of age or have the legal authority to bind your organization to these terms.
2. Definitions
- Validation - Automated case checks producing a validation evidence pack (stability report, manifest, SHA256 checksums).
- Converge Run - Full solver execution of a validated case, producing a run evidence pack with HMAC-SHA256 seal.
- Evidence Pack - The bundle of artifacts (reports, manifests, checksums, logs, seal) produced by the platform.
- Platform Error - A failure caused by our infrastructure (worker crash, storage outage, orchestration bug, billing double-charge) unrelated to your case content.
- Case Configuration Error - A failure caused by your case setup (mesh instability, boundary condition divergence, prohibited constructs, resource limit exceeded).
- Partial Completion - A run that reached its tier wall-time limit. Results and evidence pack are available.
- Upload Link - A one-time presigned URL for uploading your case bundle, valid for 24 hours after payment.
- Stability-Enhanced - Our default run mode using UCF solver variants for improved convergence robustness. See Section 3.
- Baseline - Execution using standard OpenFOAM solver binaries without stability-enhanced variants.
3. Service Description
UCF FlowEngine LLC provides automated CFD case validation and optional converge runs for OpenFOAM-compatible cases.
Case Intake Validation ($75): Automated validation against our intake policy - mesh checks, dictionary parsing, resource estimation, and safety screening. Produces a validation evidence pack containing a stability report, intake manifest, and SHA256 checksums.
Converge Run ($175 upgrade): Full solver execution of your validated case. Produces a run evidence pack with solver logs, run manifest, SHA256 checksums, and HMAC-SHA256 sealed integrity proof.
HMAC-SHA256 seals are generated for converge runs only. Validation evidence packs include SHA256 checksums but not HMAC seals.
Default run mode: Stability-Enhanced. By default, converge runs use our stability-enhanced solver variant for improved robustness. Your case files are executed as-is. We do not change your physics models, boundary conditions, or mesh. Any solver variant used is recorded in your evidence pack.
If a stability-enhanced solver variant is not available for your case type, we will run in baseline mode and record that in the evidence pack.
Results are computational simulations - not engineering certifications, safety guarantees, or regulatory approvals. We do not warrant that simulation results are physically accurate or suitable for any particular purpose. You are responsible for independently verifying simulation results before using them in engineering decisions.
4. Pricing and Payment
Standard tier is available now: $75 case validation and optional $175 converge run ($250 total).
Professional and Enterprise tiers are not currently available for purchase unless shown as available at checkout. "Coming Soon" pricing displayed on the website is indicative and may change before activation.
All payments are processed via Stripe. Stripe's terms of service apply to payment processing.
Prices are in USD and subject to change with 30 days notice for new purchases. Existing paid services are honored at the price paid.
5. Refund Policy
Validation fee ($75): Non-refundable once the first byte of your case bundle is uploaded. If your Upload Link expires unused (24-hour window), contact support within 30 days for review.
Converge run fee ($175): Non-refundable once run execution begins (status changes to "running"). If the run fails due to a Platform Error, contact support.
Tier extension payments: Same policy as converge run fees.
After 30 days: Refund requests for expired unused Upload Links will not be honored.
Platform Error examples (refund-eligible):
- Worker crash unrelated to case content
- Storage outage or internal service failure
- Orchestration bug or misconfiguration
- Billing double-charge
Not Platform Error (not refund-eligible):
- Mesh, boundary condition, or model instability
- Solver divergence due to case setup
- Prohibited OpenFOAM constructs discovered during validation
- Exceeding wall-time or resource limits (Partial Completion)
We may request logs and artifacts to determine the cause of a failure. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing time may vary by payment provider.
We will respond to refund requests within 10 business days.
Refund requests: support@ucfflowengine.com
6. Service Limits
Standard tier limits:
- Up to 5 million cells
- 8 CPU cores, 16 GB RAM
- 2-hour wall time limit
- 500 MB maximum upload size
- 3 validation attempts per intake
- 24-hour Upload Link expiration
Runs that reach the wall-time limit are treated as Partial Completions - results and evidence packs are available for download.
Professional and Enterprise tier limits will be as described at checkout when those tiers launch. No specific limits are guaranteed until purchase.
We reserve the right to reject cases that violate our intake policy.
7. Acceptable Use
You may only submit OpenFOAM-compatible CFD case bundles in .zip format.
We may reject or stop processing cases that include: executables (.exe, .so, .dll, .dylib), scripts (.sh, .py), compiled objects (.o, .a), path traversal (.. sequences), absolute paths, symlinks, or hidden files.
We may reject or stop processing cases that use: codedFixedValue, codedMixed, codedFixedGradient, codedFunctionObject, #codeStream, dynamicCode, external library loading (libs directive), runtime compilation, or external network calls from case configuration.
Restricted data: Do not upload export-controlled data (ITAR/EAR) or sensitive personal data unless you have prior written approval from UCF FlowEngine LLC.
You may not attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, or resource quotas. You may not use the service for any unlawful purpose.
We may disable or ignore prohibited features during validation to safely evaluate a case. We will not modify your case files for a converge run without your instruction.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
Your case files remain your property. We do not claim ownership of your uploaded data.
You grant us a limited license to process, store, and analyze your case files solely to provide the service.
UCF FlowEngine LLC software, algorithms, solver variants, and sealed evidence pack formats are our intellectual property.
Evidence packs (manifests, seals, reports) generated from your data are yours to use and distribute.
9. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We are not liable for simulation accuracy, engineering decisions based on results, data loss, service interruptions, or indirect or consequential damages.
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold UCF FlowEngine LLC harmless from claims arising from your uploaded content or your use of results.
These limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Data Handling
We retain case uploads, results, and evidence packs for 90 days from the date of creation. You may download your artifacts at any time during the retention period.
We will make reasonable efforts to keep artifacts available during the stated retention period, but availability is not guaranteed.
After 90 days, case data and results may be deleted without notice.
We retain minimal metadata (run IDs, timestamps, hashes, billing records) beyond the 90-day period for audit, fraud prevention, and service improvement.
To request early deletion of your data: support@ucfflowengine.com
We do not sell your data or share it with third parties except as required by law. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
11. General
